Hollis Demasters: Its seems to me that people who are still growing need to be more careful when switching to a vegetarian diet. And I'm assuming that you are younger.It seems that is better if your diet has always been primarily vegetarian, for example, much of the population in India. Idk why this is, but maybe simply that your body may need time to adjust, more than anything.So maybe start by just cutting back the amount of meat that you consume. Maybe start with 1/2? Each meal that is served to you that includes meat, if you eat it, don't eat the next that does and so on and so on.And also, maybe go talk to your doctor w/ your parents?...Show more
Jacques Teri: I have been a vegetarian since i was 10 years old, so that makes it about six years now. It is very true that if you don't get the proteins, vitamins, etc that most people get from meat, you could end up extremely sick. Luckily, it is fairly easy to get these. Firstly, taking a multivitamin is a very good! idea. You also need to get protein, which can be found in eggs, dairy products, beans, legumes, nuts, tofu, and other sources. There are also some products that are meatless meat items, such as meatless chicken nuggets and veggie burgers. My favorite bran is MorningStar Farms. Good luck to you!...Show more

Arlene Maycumber: Well, i never really liked meat that much. But the meat i did like, i LOVED! it was pretty easy for me to become a vegetarian. I would rather have fruits and veggies anyday! but, my problem was that i wasn't really eating that healthy, and my doctor/mom told me i had to start eating meat again. I did try to eat the Ch*kn nuggets and boca burgers( a brand of veggie burgers) and anytime my family would eat meat i could easily find a meat substitue. But, my problem was, i hate eggs! and that's what everyone was telling me to eat. I ended up having to eat meat again!...Show more
Barton Slisz: well the #1 thing in meat is protein and you need you protein so what you should do is eat lots of eggs and also peanut butter.but an even easier way is do just buy protein shake mix i would prefer the chocolate kind but if you buy the vanilla add some fru! it to give it some flavor!
