GUM ALIGNMENT- gum is pushed a bit upwards after impact will it come down or should i go 4 some typ of surgery?

answers 0:Hello, i had a hockey accident about a year ago where the hockey ball came and hit my mouth, one of my teeth was knocked backwards and slightly in.I have been thru orthodontic treatment and have perfectly straight teeth now, the only slight problem i have is that after treatment the front tooth's gum is still pushed upwards and is not in line with the rest of my gum line. Will this come down soon with regular up and down motion brushing? or should i go ahead with gum surgery??? if so which type will fix this problem? It's not really noticeable however i would like it to look normal anyway for self satisfaction as even though no1 sees it im conscious of it being there.Any suggestions? comments? answers? Im all ears. Thank you!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!! :)...Show moreanswers 1:No. You would need tissue grafting (gum surgery). It is usually taken from the roof of your mouth. Sorry. If no one sees it and it's not an issue I wouldn't worry about it, especially if you have no tooth sensitivity next to the gum line. I would not over brush. A soft toothbrush should be used all over your mouth and nice rotating motions towards the gumline should be used but not too hard. You can wear away your enamel by brushing improperly. I've been a dental assistant for over 12 years....
