Wally Perrien: Yes, the DVD which "puz" refers to [above] from www.PreventionProof.com is called The Whole Truth in 15 Minutes. It is very, very good.
Dorinda Metzer: I know more about breast cancer than I ever wanted to know, but that is another story. As far as your other questions about this it depends upon how far she is along in treatment. She should drink lots of water, eat good protein to rebuild her body and attempt to walk. Massage works wonders and concentrate on getting well.It is recommended that those with any cancer has a better chance of survival when they keep a journal about it. I would have her start one. My wife did not want to be around other cancer patients when she had her diagnosis. Once she was going through radiation (you tend to meet the same people at the same time over several weeks) then she began to open up and talk to other cancer patients.Hope this helps,My wife's uncle was going through bladder cancer treatments. What we did ev! en though it did not seem much to us was to fix them dinner on the day of the treatment. When they came home they did not have to worry about fixing dinner. Simple things like that make a difference. It could be calling her up to see if she wants to meet for breakfast or go to a movie. Staying in touch helps.Dave...Show more

Sharie Sommerville: This is a rare situation. There were only ~ 5000 women with soft tissue sarcomas of all kinds in the U.S. - 2009.Only a portion of these 5000 were leiomyosarcomas, andonly a very small percentage of these started with a lung primary. - - -We have inadequate information to go on here. What is the stage and grade of your leiomyosarcoma ?Is the lung the primary site, or did this soft tissue sarcoma spread to the lungs from another primary tumor - which would be far more common ?What treatment(s) have you had since diagnosis in 2009 ?What do your oncol! ogists tell you ?Your oncology care team has all of the inform! ation which we do not have here. You are paying them to explain these things to you. It's part of the job. - - - Here's an excellent comprehensive review from the Mayo Clinichttp://www.mayoclinic.com/health/soft-tissue-sarco...Read all if the sections but especially the treatment section.Best of luck with this. Caleb Chapman: Get a second opinion, but get it from a medical doctor, preferably an oncologist. The Bloch cancer center in kansas city missouri can supply you with several experts who will examine your medical file and argue in front of you on what the best course of treatment might be. Don't go herbal, but do get another medical opinion!
Esteban Lyson: It is usually too late to seek alternative help after the doctors have damaged the body with repeated chemo to the point that they, themselves, would not continue. It is good to start with alternative approaches whilst the body still has som! e strength. There is, however, a number of things that one can do at any stage to suppress cancer. That includes:1. Colon cleanses (of retained residue and toxins)2. Liver cleanse3. Strict diet (no toxins, only organic food, no additives and only fresh food.)4. Avoidance of food that generates acidity in the body, like: Coffee, Pork, Tomatoes. And avoiding any processed food, like margarine and sausages, etc.5. Ensuring that the body is well oxygenated by spending time in the fresh air and doing some moderate exercise. Many people further find visualisation useful. Like imagining that the cancer is shrinking. There are further many natural remedies that various people would suggest you to take. These may include:Essiac tea, shark cartilage, graviola herb, liquid oxygen, and zapping, amongst many others. The only item I may perhaps advise you to buy may be apricot kernels, and you can buy them over the internet. They contain a chemical that can work as a natural killer of c! ancer cells. But I would advise caution in purchasing too many different! remedies at this stage. You may be spending too much money for what it may be worth, in particular if such remedies were taken in a un-co-ordinated manner. The Dhaxem website describes the general stages of how to heal cancer by entirely natural means. If you have a moment to spare, perhaps you could have a little read, and see how you could adjust your lifestyle to get the most out of it.Best wishes....Show more
Luis Mellon: Anyone trying to sell you something that will "cure" late stage cancer is scamming you. If there was a true cure, it would be common knowledge today. What the alternative medicine approach does is usually an attempt to shore up the patient's immune system in the hope that life expectancy and quality of life can be increased. This might work (but do not bank on it, mostly it doesn't) but it is certainly worth a try. As for what can be done, a lot of other posters give good tips - diet changes, alternative additional treatments etc. However, NEVE! R choose alternative treatment INSTEAD of proper medical treatment - that's a fast road to the graveyard. Talk to your doctor about the adjunct therapy you are planning on....Show more

Tyler Burkman: There are many different types of cancers (blood, bone, organ, etc) and various modalities for treating each. As a simple object lesson...cancer can oftentimes be traced back to free radicals causing oxidative stress to the cellular [lipid] membranes which can adversely impact our DNA. To neutralize or reduce this oxidation process (and also help repair the DNA), one must increase their level of antioxidants through the ingesti! on of fruits and vegetables (not synthetic supplements like A, C and E)! . The data is very conclusive on this. For your edification, I've posted several documents relating to this in my Yahoo Briefcase which you can freely download: http://briefcase.yahoo.com/apuzyr There is other information there, as well, which you may find useful pertaining to high protein diets, low carb diets, building up the immune system, ideal blood tests, macular degeneration, diabetic neuropathy, free radicals and antioxidants, phytonutrients, synthetic vitamins vs whole food supplements, etc. www.PreventionProof.com is another great resource. The research is highly credible and qualitative (published in both nutriceutical and medical journals). You will not find lame testimonials or some doctor's endorsement who is also "on the payroll". If you e-mail them, they'll even send you an excellent (read as "professional" - not hype) 15 minute DVD which helps explain the major cause of degenerative diseases, like cancer. All the education in the world is worthless.! ..unless we act upon it....Show more

Devon Kalberer: i want to know is there a cure for this cancer i had it sice 2009 is there any persons with what i have .
Pasquale Pollet: help her enroll in a support group. the cancer centers of america are lovely for treatment. i would recommend organic foods and enrolling in fitness classes with other cancer patients.
Asa Soho: So you own an organization, but inexplicably can't form a sentence that has properly spelled words?
Scot Sepulbeda: Depends what kind of cancer... tell me and I might be able to help.

Rachell Meese: Read my page and testimonials on glyconutrients.
Rosann Mccomb: You have exhausted all conventional treatments? Don't give up. I cured my terminal cancer. I also know of two others that did by different means. One used hot peppers and garlic, the other used Miatake mushrooms, and I used ginger.
Lizzette Wendroth: i know 2 people who beat cancer with this method:complete vegan diet.eat tons of fruits and veggies, they have natural antioxidants in them that have been proven to prevent and help treat cancer.if you're interested, email me at: ipissinmyowncheerios@yahoo.com and i can give you all the info you want including specific things that worked for them and what not....Show more
Mitsuko Manne: I am not familiar with this type of cancer but have quite a bit of experience with lung and other types of cancer. First are you actively undergoing conventional treatments, and if so, are you benefiting from the treatm! ents? I hope you have looked into alternative therapies. There is a very special herbal tea you should be taking, it will not affect any conventional treatments you may be on, in fact it usually lessens the side effects from them. It is a combination of Burdock Root, Sheep Sorrel, Slippery Elm Bark and Turkey Rhubarb, mixed and brewed in the proper way. Cancer has been cured with this tea, you would add Dandelion Root tea and Milk Thistle tablets or tincture. These herbs are very strong liver cleansers, the liver is responsible for cleaning your blood along with about 500 other functions. If you developed this cancer I would guarantee your body is highly toxic. I would focus on an herbal combination laxative with enema's to thoroughly clean out your colon. If you are going to cleanse the liver and dump toxins you need to make sure you are able to release these toxins via your intestinal tract. Have you suffered from constipation? What did your diet consist of? I believe if! you cleanse your elimination organs, ie. colon, liver, kidneys that yo! ur body knows how to heal itself. Most people's organs are working at a very low capacity with all of the chemicals, preservatives, pollutants, additives and everything else we have been exposed to. The body is amazing! You will also need to heal your mind with meditation and deep breathing techniques. You will also need to drink plenty of alkaline and ionized water. Make a list of alkaline foods, just Google alkaline foods. Stay away from refined anything, if man has touched it, modified it, enriched it or grown it in synthetic, chemical soils, don't eat it! The cancer diet is crucial, no refined sugars of any kind and no artificial sweeteners, they are worse for you than refined white sugar. The tea I referred to is also known as Essiac, it is very expensive in the health food stores, $50 a quart and I don't know if I trust the potency. It may be fine. I have access to it in bulk from organically grown herbs, already weighed and ready to brew yourself, very simple to brew! and steep yourself. Very affordable. I'm not trying to push a sale, I could go on forever on how you could very possibly cure yourself. I have seen this tea and the proper cleanse heal many cancer patients. There is also an Alternative Doctor who swears that all cancers are related to parasites. These can also be eradicated with herbs. It is important that you follow proper protocols for cleansing, if your organs start dumping toxins and you are unable to release them through your colon, kidneys lungs or skin you can suffer some harsh side effects! I wish you great strength in your fight!...Show more

Veta Slicker: Cancer mainly can not be cured. But I heard that in some cases, it can. It only depends on what kind of cancer you have, how serious is it, how you take care of yourself, what medications you take, etc.. I feel sorry for you. You are a child and have cancer. I read some of your questions and you are having a problem dealing with it. You are underage and can't know your health, but want to.

Arnulfo Seegars: I too know more about breast cancer than I ever wanted to, having had it my! self.It sounds as if the help you plan to give this person is advice on diet etc. One word - DON'T. It really, really isn't helpful to hear about people's pet theories about how to deal with cancer, especially when they have no basis in fact. A healthy diet is always important, but there is not a shred of evidence to prove that any diet or particular food has any effect on the progress of cancer.I'm sorry your friend is under a lot of stress - but stress or lack of it has no effect on cancer.Has she just been diagnosed? Offering your support for appointments etc is something you could do - she may need someone to go along with her, or appreciate being taken to lunch afterward. And support through her treatment is important. By all means say 'if there's anything I can do' - but only if you mean it. She's about to hear that from a lot of people who won't deliver. Don't wait to be asked - if she's having chemo, take some ready made meals round for the freezer. Offer to do her ! ironing or cleaning. Offer to collect her kids from school. Don't, what! ever you do, urge her to stay or be positive - there's no evidence at all that it helps, and it can make things worse; I felt guilty, and therefore worse, because I just COULDN't be as positive as some people were urging me to be.The people I remember with gratitude from the early days of my diagnosis and my treatment are the the person who bought me a soft fleecy blanket during chemo; the people who went out of their way to drive me to appointments, including my brother who did a 400 mile round trip in one day to take me the 50 miles to radiotherapy when my transport let me down; the people who invited me to dinner, and made me laugh. Above all, the people who were prepared to just listen, and let me talk about my fears without dismissing them or trying to change the subject. Those I remember with some impatience are the ones who assured me I would be ok (the doctors didn't know that, so how could they?); the ones who said 'Have you thought of trying (insert name of alterna! tive therapy)'; the ones who gave me advice on diets they'd read about on the internet; the ones who told me how many people they knew who had survived breast cancer - and the ones who told me how many they knew who'd died of it. All well-meaning, of course. But not what I needed.A lot depends on your relationship with this person of course. When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer my brother - who at the time I saw very rarely - sent me a text message saying ''I love you. I don't know what else to say. If you need me for anything except ironing I'll be there''. It made me cry, it made me smile and it showed me how much he cared. Almost seven years later I still have that message on my phone. (And he was as good as his word, see above).=========EDIT: Forgot to say - one of the most useful things you can do for your friend may be to pass on these links. I don't know quite what I would have done in the dark days and weks after diagnosis without online support forums, whe! re I could talk to people who were or had been in the same situation, o! r just read the postshttp://www.breastcancer.orghttp://www.breastcancercare.org.ukAs well as the forums, both sites have plenty of information about breast cancer, especially the first one...Show more
Annabell Bevier: Cancer is still kicking *** and taking people out everyday. It's funny how we can go after a company for misleadig advertising so much more easily than a shyster who claims to cure cancer.... Lo_mcg has your answer; very well written. Thank you.
Maye Delk: First Step:Phase 1 trials on animals.. The study must be conducted under the rules of Medical Investigatory Trials, and all results must be recordedSecond StepPhase Two Trials on humans. This uses limited forms of the treatment, looking fo serious side effects, especially death. You also look for side effect that may be worse than the disease, like you've found a cure for cancer, but all the patients go blind. Again, studies MUST be performed under Medical Study rules and regulations, and the ! study MUST be closely monitored by the government, since you are now using human patients.Third StepPhase Three trials for efficacy. Phase Three trial are allows ONLY if the cure is found to eb "safe" for the majority of patients. Having determined dosages or methods under the Phase 2 Trails, you now run regulated, government monitored test to see how effective your cure is, based on data from other patients that did NOT get to use your "cure".Fourth Step:ALL of your data is presented to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for review. They will review ALL of your data, and may call you in for questioning by an FDA committee. If they have questions, they may ask you to perform more studies, and then resubmit. Or they might simply refuse to give you a license to sell. This Review Process can take from 3 - 10 years, and more than $100 MILLION dollars.Fifth Step:>IFTo sell in other counties, you submit your data from Steps 1, 2, and 3 to the Governmental Board that certi! fies medical drugs and cures in the country you want to sell to. In mo! st case the European Union now acts like ONE country, but the countries in Africa, South America, Asia, and the Middle East, as well as Canada and Australia, all act is individual countries, and you have to submit to EACH country individually.Good Luck....Show more
