Alberto Kozub: Lantana is marvelous, plus the fact they'd enhance fairly great, have hundreds of blooms, and are undemanding on the attention. Butterfly bush, Hummingbird vine, sunflower flowers, Brugmansia, Datura Angel Trumpet, Peony or something with superb crimson and yellow blooms. All of those flowers would be stunning for a butterfly backyard.
Collin Pelfrey: Any bright color big flowers will attract butterflies.Example: Hibiscus.

Vernita Robberson: I know it's not a bright flower, but plant parsley for the big, black beaties it attracts. The caterpillars are beautiful as well, and you can watch them go from caterpillar to butterflies. I'm not a fan of parsley, but I plant it just for the butterflies it attracts.
