The dentists should be able to still do their job, and if they can't, they aren't very professional.You can put a labret retainer in your piercing if you'd like, but I don't know where you can get them. Sorry.answers 2:The only thing that would concern me is if they take x-rays it might cause a problem. Even then they might ask you to take out any piercings or any hairbands with metal in them just for a minu! te to take the films. No reason to leave them out for the entire visit.
