Would you recommend the acid/alkaline diet?

Joellen Zorrilla: Diet Guidelineshttp://www.diabetes911.net/readit/chapter10.shtml

Roxane Leathers: This diet makes no sense to me. The stomach is a very acidic environment. Gastric contents have a pH of about 3 or 4. It's pretty hostile to lots of stuff (which is one big reason why we don't get sick more frequently than we do, and why insulin must be injected/inhaled). So what difference does the pH of the food we eat make? I just don't get it.

Laveta Fathy: Google it.

Lana Uliano: I've googled it, but am looking for someone who's actually benefitted from the diet to share their experiences.

Miguel Densley: I am 68 years old. I started a diet 4 months ago and have lost 32 lbs. Breakfast: Cereal (hot or cold) and tea. Lunch: Meal replacement. I use slim Fast. (Others are good.) Dinner: Whatever is going. Just don't stuff yourself. Later at night: Fruit. Pick a day a week for a treat. Ice cream, chocolate etc. Walk. Walk. Walk. 30 minutes every s! econd day. 10 min every day... touch your toes. Work up to 20 times. and streeeeeetch every morn and eve. I'm 68 and haven't felt this good in years. Encourage your Dad and he will be around for a long time. Good luck....Show more
