Sell my car to get a motorcycle? good idea?

Sell the car, bank the bucks and in a little over a year you'll have time to revisit this. Now hold yer arms out and don't drop 'em till I tell you to.

Rosann Mccomb: I agree completely with Roger, you need to analyse where you will be in ten years whether, you can use the bike for your errands, and if this is a spur of the moment thing don't get it you'll regret it, you don't need to get the bike right away like what roger said, see who will take the car off your hands (a bit more than kelley blue book value) then go on ebay motors and post your own price, also if you live near everything you need (walking distance) you don't need a car you can sell it and dump all that money into a savings account then when you find a bike you like after doing re! search invest in it and insurances.good luck....Show more

Barton Sease: You need to decide what is best for you not the easiest. While selling cars can be a pain the idea is to not give a gift to car fax price the car right and it will sell go a couple of grand higher than car max and go from there. A bike in the winter sucks beyond that as long as you dont break a leg on it then your good to go. In the long run what is your plan 5 years from now? or Ten? put some thought into your future. No one said you had to get a bike right away. And personally if you are going to get one go for a harley which means you may need to sell your car and do yourself better than car max is going to....Show more
